Nestopia For Linux

Nestopia is an open-source NES/Famicom emulator designed to emulate the NES hardware as accurately as possible, and is considered the most advanced NES emulator. Nestopia allows customization of colors, sounds, and graphics. It includes special features such as Power Glove.

Installing & Using Nestopia:

 Installing via the Terminal:
 1. Open the Terminal and type in 'sudo apt-get install nestopia' then press Enter.
 2. Type in your password then press Enter.
 3. Enter 'Y' to confirm installing program and dependencies, then press Enter.

 Install via Synaptic Package Manager:
 1. Open Synaptic and search for 'nestopia'.
 2. Right-click on 'Nestopia' in the list and select 'Mark For Installation'.
 3. Click 'OK' to install additional required dependencies.
 4. Click on the 'Apply' button then click 'OK'.

Using a Controller with Snes9X

By default, most Linux distros are plug-n-play when it comes to controllers, so you will not have to install any additional programs for them to work. Simply plug your controller into your computer before starting Nestopia. To configure the keyboard or controller buttons in Nestopia, go to 'Emulator->Configuration' then select the 'Input' tab.
